We’ve just been advised of a new group starting up in Sydney – The League of Extraordinary Women – who are focused on “empowering entrepreneurial women in Australia”. They’re hosting a kick off event in Sydney on 9 February 2012:
A League of Extraordinary Women to support, empower, motivate and inspire!
“This event is for all women looking to connect with other like-minded women!
We are all about like-minded females coming together to share, support, encourage and inspire each other. Initially starting off as casual monthly events between friends, now, the enthusiasm of a ‘league’ of extraordinary women has spun into action one of the most exciting and largest groups for empowering entrepreneurial women in Australia.
At the incredibly successful launch event in Melbourne, the energy in the room was incredible. The speakers on the night were more than inspirational and left all attendees feeling as though, with a bit of determination, anything is possible.
On 9th February 2012, the largest group of female entrepreneurs will be meeting in Sydney for the first time. After an AMAZING turnout for the launch in Melbourne we have set up an exciting evening here in Sydney, and our aim is to make it even bigger and better than our first!
The goal is to support, empower, motivate and inspire!
We have an amazing line up of speakers, you check out our website to get this first hand info… www.leagueofextraordinarywomen.com.au
On the night however, you will get the opportunity to be inspired and to learn from one of Australia’s most famous female entrepreneurs ‘Jodie Fox’ , Co-Founder of Shoes of Prey and Sneaking Duck. Jodie is the national winner of the 2011 Telstra NSW Business Woman of the Year, Hudson corporate award. She blogs about all things fashion and shoes on the Shoes of Prey blog, and can be found on Twitter.
Another amazing speaker, Samantha Gash, was only at the age of 25, having only ever completed one full marathon, she set out on a journey to complete the 4 Deserts Grand Slam. Four 250km foot races in 2010, in the driest, windiest, hottest and coldest deserts on earth. A feat which had only ever been achieved by two people before, both of whom were professional athletes. Samantha will take you on her journey, where everything was against her, and remind us all that everything and anything is possible.
You will meet and hear from, other extraordinary women. Come along, we can’t wait to meet you!
Be inspired, be empowered, be extraordinary.
