SOUP LabsOur buddies over at SOUP Labs have extended an invitation to their mixer event this coming Friday to Social Innovation Sydney folks. It sounds like a great idea – so RSVP now to get your free place as spaces are limited.

Hello Social Innovation Sydney,

I am a current student at UTS and I would love for Social Innovation Sydney members to be part of an innovative development project that tackles youth housing affordability. I feel that the ideas and viewpoints of Social Innovation Sydney could be could be vital to our free SOUP Mixer event on Friday 18 July.

This is a great event for the empowering young people of Sydney for social innovation to get their voice and ideas heard on urban design and affordable housing in Sydney. It will also be a good networking event as community experts from around NSW will be attending the SOUP Mixer as will our sponsors from the Committee for Sydney and UrbanGrowthNSW.

// An Open Invitation to:
// SOUP MIXER
// FRI 18 JUL, 9AM-3PM
// L3, CENTRAL PARK SHOPS, 28 BROADWAY, CHIPPENDALE

Join the hundreds of voices from all across Sydney’s metropolitan footprint, including government, community groups, and big-and-small businesses.

We’ll get together for an intensive collaboration to tackle a shared urban challenge with creativity and practical purpose. And we’ll bring a diverse mix of expertise, experience and engagement about young people, housing and Sydney’s future.

SOUP MIXER is a boldly diverse ‘en-masse’ innovation workshop to explore the needs and ideas we all hold for having a home we can afford.

Everyone is welcome and diversity of participants is our goal.

// THE SOUP CHALLENGE: YOUTH HOUSING INNOVATION
We all know it – Sydney is deemed “unliveable” on many global standards because so many young people simply cannot afford housing where they need and want to live, threatening the core vitality of our city and our people.
